WHAT IS THE EYE LEVEL LITERARY AWARD?

For more than three decades, Daekyo has been discovering new breeds of writers and literary talents through the annual Eye Level Literary Award. In recent years, the contest’s focus has shifted to uncovering and recognizing talented children from around the world. Eye Level members and non-members are all invited to showcase their creativity and take a step closer to their dreams.

Korea to be judged by a panel of
experts for consideration as

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

: Illustrated Writing 4 to 9 years of age

Anyone, including non-Eye Level members are invited to participate. Participants will draw about the given topic and add a short description to it.

: Writing 10 to 15 years of age

Anyone, including non-Eye Level members, is invited to participate. Participants will write about the given topic within 3-4 pages.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

After submitting your application, please check your email for
confirmation of your application details and registration number.
NOTICE FOR PARTICIPANTS:
- 1) Remember your registration number and bring pen/pencil and color pencil/crayon.
- 2) All participants must arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time.
- 3) The contest will last approximately 2 hours(will vary per country).
- 4) All paperwork must be collected. Completed works will not be returned in principle.
- 5) All writing/text must be hand-written and easy to read.
- 6) Contest results will be posted on the Eye Level website(myeyelevel.com) in November. The exact date and time will be announced at later.
02 ~ September Local/1^st Round Screening In

- Preliminary Round : Local Judges will select the local winners and submit the artwork to Korea for the global judging.
- Final Round : Judges appointed by Korea Headquarters will review all the local winner submissions from various countries and select the 3 global winners.
03 Nov (TBD) Global Winners Finalized In

Global winners will be privately contacted in November (specific date TBD) by an Eye Level representative.Winners will be publicly announced in December.
04 Dec. 1st Global Winners Awarded In
Progress
- Global Awards : 3 winners from each category will be
  awarded with a prestigious prize and an incentive trip to Korea.

- Local Awards : Each local office will award its local winners

HOW TO BE PREPARED

Although students can practice writing and drawing with extra topics,
we do not release the actual topic publically or before the event.
Please contact your local office or nearby center(centre) for practice topics.
